2019 Sr Team Match Play Results

The TOMGC Senior Team is again a member of the SD County Sr. Golf League which we initially joined for the 2007 season.  The League has been in continual operation since it was founded in 1967.  The League celebrated it's 50th anniversary with a golf and feast day at Fairbanks Ranch on 9 Oct 2017.  We are one of 19 teams in the League from all over San Diego County.  Our Sr League team competes with the other 18 teams for the regular season championship.and the end of season playoffs when 8 teams with the best regular season records will compete for the league championship.   

 Our 2018 record was 16-19-1. Some tough end of season losses resulted in us barely missing the playoffs.  THX to all our co-captains and players for a very enjoyable 2018 season.   Morgan Run won the 2018 playoffs and thus the League championship. Pala Mesa was the 2018 regular season champion.  TOMGC Sr League 2018 Player of the Year/Most Valuable Player (MVP) was Tom Rousseau for the 2nd straight year.  Congrats Tom for your 2017 and 2018 awards and thanks for your great play.  

The 2019 season was 2/01 - 10/14/2019 followed by the playoffs. There were 2 well attended Spring Sweeps @ Morgan Run in April & May and a Summer Sweeps @ El Camino (7/15).  TO had two 2 men teams that palyed a 4Ball event at Lomas Santa Fe on 10/21/19.  Attached are several important documents related to our 2019 season..  Everything about the current season, including league schedule, won/loss record and standings of all the teams is at the Sr League web site .http://www.sdcsgolfleague.com/    FYI , our final 2019 record was 15-16-4.  We were in a tight battle with 9 other teams for the last 4 playoff spots right up until we were shaded in our  final Match, an 8-10 @ St Mark.  Match 7B @ Encinitas was rained out while tied after 9 holes and was not replayed since it was not needed to determine playoff position.
