Match 15B TO @ Steele Canyon Win 11-7

Team Anderson ventured out to Steele Canyon for the away match, after giving them a sound thumping here at home.  Well, you might call it victory at sea, because we sunk their battleship!  The ‘A’ team once again had their way with the boys from Steele Canyon, takin 4 of the available 6 points.  The ‘B’ team with welcome sub Bob Rosson, went down fighting, grabbing 2 of 6.  But Tom Stamos was the Belle of the Ball!  We were up 1 on the nineth hole, just needing a tie to take the front.  But No, Mitch let them back in when he flubbed a chip and then missed a putt to give them a point.  On the back nine, the C team was up 4 after two holes, when Anderson started his implosion.  We found ourselves down one going to 17.  With a look of frightening determination, Tom Stamos (aka Batman) said confidently, “4 points available, we only need to win by one to take 5pts!”  Let’s do this, he yelled!  It took me awhile to calm him down and remind him he was talking to the cart girl, but he made it happen.  He took the low, two pars on the last two holes, and his partner, for all his other faults, got the other two points with a bogie.  It was a win that was almost as big as the smile on Tom’s face when at the end of the match he said, “I never had a doubt!”
