Match 16B 2017 at Encinitas Ranch TIE 9-9

Team 1 (Friesen/Cochran) ran into "the butcher" again!  76 year old Gary Bader (who was only 2 over par gross after 14 holes last week at Twin Oaks!) shot a gross 73 for a NET 63!!  Yes, he SHOT 3 STROKES LESS THAN HIS AGE!

Russ had a good day, mine started out bad but got better. After running over us on the first nine (we started on hole #10) I managed to Birdie Hole #8 and shot even par 36 for our 2nd nine.  Russ dropped his 4th birdie of the day on our last hole (hole #9) to shoot a one under par 35 - to get us those treasured 2 points!

Team 2 (Meddock/Owens) CRUSHED to get all 6 points (1 up on the first nine, 1 up on the 2nd - 2 up overall)!!

Team 3 (Pangle/Bland) scratched and fought to get the 1 point to TIE the Team Match!!
Pangle shot an even par 36 on the 2nd nine but they still lost 2 down and total.

Still - Twin Oaks managed a tie AWAY (let's just not mention the loss at home last week)!!
